Support Analyst/Programmer
Essential technical skills: SQL Sybase, Unix
Desirable technical skills: Unix shell scripting, Java (including J2EE web applications), Java application servers (e.g. Weblogic, JBoss) and Perl.
Key responsibilities:
On-going support of Client / Server and internet systems; problem resolution and implementing preventative measures.
Participating and leading process improvement initiatives.
Establishing relationships with the business and other stakeholders to discuss systems issues and changes.
Supporting Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery testing.
You should have:
A range of IT experience, in particular previous production system support work, preferably from the Financial Industry.
The ability to work well under pressure to provide timely and accurate solutions to systems problems.
Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
Excellent problem solving abilities.
Track record as a strong team player.
