My client, based in Brisbane CBD, are looking for an experienced Deployment Engineer. You will be responsible for:
-Assist in the Development of Deployment packages (e.g. MSI's) for the Application. Also assist in the subsequent Deployment of the application to multiple environments (e.g. Test, Development, Production and Training).
-Work in collaboration with the Development, Infrastructure and Data Migration teams to coordinate the required deployment activities
-Produce and maintain appropriate documentation related to deployment activities
-Work closely with the Architecture and Infrastructure team to define deployment parameters and configuration
-Work with the Development and Build teams to provide feedback on deployment issues
-Test and troubleshoot system (e.g. Application, SharePoint, Infopath forms, SQL 2005 Data base) errors to verify the solutionhas deployed to all environments successfully. The deployment engineer will be responsible to make the initial assessment on any application problems.

You must be able to demonstrate proven commercial experience in the following areas:
-Demonstrated high level of skills with writing deployment and configuration scripts on a Microsoft platform and with deploying .msi software installation packages using those scripts and packaging tools
-Experience with, or understanding of the full Microsoft distributed technology stack, especially Microsoft SQL Server, InfoPath, IIS, MSMQ, Sharepoint administration, Active Directory and Authorization Manager
-Proven ability to work in a structured and organised manner to accomplish activities within tight timeframes
-Good communication skills and the ability to work in a large team environment, especially being able to work in a multi-disciplinary team

Initially a 3 month contract with the option to extend.
