SERVICE DELIVERY MANAGER - DESKTOP / SERVER
PERMANENT POSITION - GLOBAL TELCO - DESKTOP / LAN / SERVER TECHNOLOGIES
Our customer, a global telecommunications company, seeks an experienced SERVICE DELIVERY MANAGER to ensure the successful ongoing operation and coordination of technology solutions and platforms across LAN, desktop, midrange server platforms and Microsoft products including Exchange against business and technology requirements.
In essence, this position will be responsible for the management of the provision of technical services by 3rd party outsourcers.
The main areas of responsibilities will include:
- ensuring service availability (systems availability, capacity planning, systems performance etc);
- management of service performance (assurance of product / service functionality, business process management etc);
- provision of service support (day-to-day issue resolution, internal user liaison, SLA management etc);
- service and change management (managing service requests, manage service impacts, single control point etc);
- commercial performance (SLA performance, stakeholder reporting etc); and
- reporting and communication (manage communication and reporting strategy).
The successful candidate will have the following experience / knowledge:
- 5 years+ experience in a service delivery management role focusing on desktop / LAN / midrange server technologies;
- proven experience in managing service delivery performance and agreements;
- proven experience in managing 3rd party outsourcing organisations from an end-user perspective; and
- superior influence and negotiation skills.
