Our Client, a large private organisation is looking for a SQL Database Administrator for a 5 months contracting position with possible further extensions.

To be considered a suitable candidate for this position, you will possess:

Mandatory Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in database administration and management of large SQL server relational databases in a production client-server environment;

Good knowledge of SQL Server installation, configuration, upgrades and maintenance;

Proven administration of multiple SQL Server databases on a number of Windows NT and Windows 2000 servers;

Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server 7 and 2000;

Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Data Transformation Services; and

MCDBA
Desirable Qualifications

Tertiary IT Qualification;

Good knowledge of database design, implementation and management, including stored procedures;

Good knowledge of server and database security implementation and administration; and

Good understanding of the Rational Unified Processes.
