My client is looking for a Backup Engineer to join their existing team. You will be working alongside the Storage group so an interest or some experience in Storage would be an advantage.

This role will involve daily backup engineering tasks (implementation, configuration, design, fault resolution, capacity planning):

Manage backups and restores on various clients;

Diagnose and resolve backup failure issues;

Restore data on request;

Support various backup applications (Netbackup, Legato, Arcserve, BackupExec, Commvault, Tivoli and Raw Dumps).

Knowledge of Wintel and Unix environments.

It will be looked at favourably if you have Storage (HDS) and NetApps knowledge, as well as TSM, Legato and NetBackup.

This position will offer you extensive experience in Backup and Storage technologies with continued product and application training.

My client is willing to train the successful candidate in Backup technologies - therefore still apply if you have strong Windows and Unix experience with a desire to work in a Backup/Storage team.
