A Java Development Manager is urgently required for this financial software institution, to have direct responsibility for a medium team of talented and experienced Java Developers who will look to you for technical guidance, team leadership and strategic development.

Technically, you will have solid experience in the following: 

• A proven ability to successfully manage and lead development teams with a strong technical input 
• Ideally 8 years experience in software development, analysis and design in Java, J2EE, XML and associated technologies 
• An intricate understanding of the SDLC, design & development methodologies and architecture. 
• Experience of real-time applications, both distributed and multithreaded technologies 
• Financial markets or telecommunications backgrounds will be ideal for this role
