Portfolio Management Specialist
Portfolio Management Specialist - CBD Location - 6 months contract
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Portfolio Management Specialist to join a market leader in the insurance industry. This role will be responsible for managing and tracking demand for all systems development requests within the Personal Insurance (PI) division of this large national insurer. Key responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating, leading and positively influencing scheduling of demand for application development with the Group
- Managing the customer interface between the business and the solutions delivery teams
- Promoting and maintaining strong and positive business relationships with key stakeholders
- Identifying synergies across multiple Lines of business, IT work scheduling and across Customer Development and Solution Delivery.- Identifying demand/resource opportunities across Customer Development Technology teams.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in a similar role as well as:
- Ability to effectively plan and manage multiple demands and activities of varying complexity with conflicting priorities involving multiple business lines and time constraints.
- Project Management proficiency to a skilled level.
- Advanced interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and mediation skills.
- Ability to drive quality and continuous improvement.
- Motivated with the ability to self manage and work as a team player who is driven to optimise the customer experience.
- Experience in a leadership capacity (project lead or team lead) with knowledge in Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodology as well as design, facilitation and documentation.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity! Initial 6 month contract, rates negotiable, ball park $600-700/day.
