Our client is a leading International software company, seeking to appoint a Support Developer to the Sydney based team. In your role as a Support Developer you will be involved in the regionalization & customization of our client's product, quality assurance, documentation, and deployment support of its software products in the Asia Pacific region under the co-ordination of the IT manager.
Your will be required to be involved in the following tasks including perform systems programming tasks to implement customized solutions in TCL scripts, and creation of technical and user oriented documentations like:
a. Release Notes
b. User Manuals
c. Training materials
d. Issues’ Analysis report
e. Technical specifications
f. Executive summaries and performance reports
The role will also require preparation and conducting training to the final users, perform programming tasks of drivers and software plug-ins/extensions in C using Microsoft development environment, perform testing tasks by implementing and executing test scripts, correct errors by making appropriate changes and then rechecking the program, provide production support, implement defect corrections and upgrades, conduct integration testing and ensure Quality Assurance of code – code review, design review, pair programming.
The sucessful candidate will have the following qualifications:
Completed or completing Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
A field preferably in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Physics or other with logical and analytical background.
Computer programming practices and test planning and execution
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Programming in C using the Win32 API (w/o using any of the standard frameworks), Development of Extensions and DLL's for Windows
TCL, JavaScript, C
Complex Problem Solving.
Systems testing, validation and verification techniques.
Mathematics.
Fluency in English, writing and reading comprehension
Critical Thinking and troubleshooting skills.
Active Listening and learning skills.
Programming for modern, PC-based operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix)
Integrated Development Environments: Visual Studio, Eclipse, Builder, others.
Configuration Management systems: CVS, Star Team, SourceSafe, PVCS, others.
Testing and evaluation tools and techniques: xUnit, TestComplete, WinRunner, LoadRunner, others.
UML, Data Modeling, Process Mapping, Workflow Analysis and Design tools and notations.
