Acer Computer Australia, in partnership with reseller Dataflex, has completed the primary rollout of 4500 Personal Desktop Computers at the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR). The contract has an overall value estimate of $10 million.

 
UXC wins $22.5 million QLD water contract

Australian technology services company UXC Limited (ASX:UXC), through its wholly owned business unit Fieldforce Services, has been awarded a contract worth at least $22.5 million to provide water conservation services in Queensland.

 
Anite exits Australia whipped and $34 million poorer

It was supposed to be the ultimate win-win contract for UK housing management software specialist Anite Group plc. Instead the company, which had established a development centre with 200 staff in early 2004 to service a .NET project it had won with the Victorian State Government, has been forced to close its operations at a cost of $10 million, pay a $24 million settlement to the Government and leave Australia with the project uncompleted.

 
CSC wins $112 million immigration and electoral contract

Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) has won the right to extend its existing contract with the Federal Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs (DIMA) and the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) in a new agreement valued at $112 million.

IT services and outsourcing supplier Computer Sciences Corporation today announced that it has signed a US$146 million contract extension with Australian insurer AMP Limited (ASX:AMP). The new four-year contract extends the two companies’ original agreement, which started in 1993.
