Computer Sciences Corporation announced today it has been awarded a two-year extension to its Applications Services agreement with BHP Billiton. The extension is valued in excess of AUD$100 million.

The original agreement, which commenced in June 2000, was due to expire in May this year but has now been extended for a further two years until May 31, 2009.

“CSC has worked with BHP Billiton for many years delivering outstanding results,” said Garry  Tuckwell, vice president of CSC and global account executive for BHP Billiton. “ The extension of this agreement is a testament to our team and its commitment to developing and deploying  quality global applications services for the business.”

Within the scope of this agreement CSC will continue to support and deploy BHP Billiton’s  Global Enterprise Resource Planning and Enterprise Content Management systems in  support of the company’s Information Management Policy. In addition to these, CSC also  supports a range of legacy applications.
