Ninemsn users will be able to draw on the resources of Telstra's Yellow (formerly Yellow Pages) when searching for local information, under a deal struck between ninemsn and Telstra subsidiary Sensis.

Sensis says the partnership will significantly increase the exposure of Yellow advertising and provide ninemsn’s audience with access to listings from Australia’s biggest local business database with a claimed 1.8 million business listings. Yellow data will be available to users of ninemsn's mylocal.com.au, live.com and maps.live.com services.

According to
ninemsn CEO, Tony Faure, ninemsn users will be able to search Yellow listings for a local business, view the results based on proximity, check a business’ location on a map, obtain contact details and review ratings other consumers have given a business.

Sensis CEO, Bruce Akhurst, said "Sensis is extending our multi-channel network to provide our Yellow advertisers with a potential audience of more than 11 million Australians each month, of whom the vast majority are ready to buy."

The new service will become available on the ninemsn network in the June-September 2008 period.{moscomment}
