“We are delighted that the Department of Defence has chosen to partner with an Australian-owned technology services provider to deliver this significant project,” said Cris Nicolli, CEO, Business Solutions Group, UXC. “It is important to recognise that this decision by Defence to engage UXC is further proof of an Australian Company being able to offer leading solutions – with a global context, and be rewarded for doing so. We are privileged that Defence has faith in UXC to deliver this project and this further affirms UXC’s capability, maturity and credibility in the government market,” he said. As part of the contract Red Rock will undertake three component engagements: • Transition project: a seven week project to transfer responsibility for existing PMKeyS services from the Department to UXC/Red Rock. • Production support: initial 24 month on-site support that includes fail and fix support, incident and problem management and monthly management reporting. • System change requests: on-site resources for system changes and enhancements including development, testing and management into the production system. “This engagement provides us with a strong foundation to further grow our rapidly expanding Canberra based business and positions us as a significant Oracle services partner to major Federal Government Agencies” said Jonathan Rubinsztein co-CEO of Red Rock. “It is also pleasing for us to continue building on our strong Oracle relationship, with Red Rock and Oracle delivering some components of this engagement together.” The contract is the fourth in a series of major government projects awarded to UXC since March this year. The others include the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Consular Assistance and Information System, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Voice System Upgrade and the Department of Health and Ageing Interactive Communications Facility for the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme. The total value of these projects is estimated at $60 million. {moscomment}
