The first of these omissions at least has been remedied in the final release of 2.6, and, as announced with the release of 2.6 in beta, a number of other Skype features previously available only on other platforms have been added. - Users can now join public chats; - A chat typing indicator enables users to see when others are writing a message - Automatic updates; - The ability to send DTMF tones for automatic answering services during calls Skype says that other improvements include tweaks in the way Skype handles birthday reminders and other notifications.{moscomment}
