UT III will be the powerhouse behind many 2008 AAA titled games, and is looking spectacular in its own right. Interestingly with the release of UT III on the console platform, Epic are looking at attempting a cross over platform integration in what looks like Microsoft’s Live, well Live-lite at least. From the press release: For the first time ever, Playstation 3 owners and PC users will be able to exchange content online. We’re talking about trading multiplayer maps and custom game modes, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg! PC gamers will be able to create their own content (or mods) and then play them on the Playstation 3. Nothing like a high intensity frag for all to bring people together. Gamers of the world unite under UT3’s banner! Unreal Tournament III is scheduled for release in the Australian retail market late November 2007, on Playstation 3 and PC. This game is yet to be classified by the Office of Film and Literature Classification.
