For the NAB installation it will supply both the back end infrastructure and desktop environment. The new Brisbane dealing room will be equipped with IPC's IQMX, claimed to one of the world's first IP-based trading room desktops claimed to extends the functionality of the switch beyond the physical trading floor to extend IP from the network into the enterprise environment. According to IPC, the NAB installation in Brisbane is one of only a handful of dealing rooms worldwide running a fully integrated IP solution, not just on the trading floor. Although the new IQMX turrets are in Brisbane they are run off a switch installed in Sydney over the bank's own network.
