Broadband wireless access network operator, BigAir, has teamed up with managed security service provider Seccom Networks to offer Seccom's disaster recovery services delivered over BigAir's wireless links which operate in Sydney.
Seccom provides a managed, off-site disaster recovery and data protection service using storage technology from StorageCraft. It is using BigAir's fixed WiMAX service operating at up to 100Mbps to connect client data centres to those hosting its backup facilities.
Seccom will package the BigAir service in its offerings to its customers, and BigAir will offer Seccom's services to its customers.

Seccom claims that: "For one low monthly cost we provide all the equipment and support services to allow business to backup laptops, desktop computers, production and test servers, and other critical systems. The SecureDR infrastructure allows them to rebuild systems in minutes, an otherwise unprecedented standard in the world of disaster recovery."{moscomment}
