Comparing this with 3's latest offer I pointed out that, not only was 3 more expensive, but it was only a limited time offer. However full marks to 3 for being upfront about this, in stark contrast to Vodafone. There it was in paragraph three of the press release "3's half price Mobile Broadband offer is available from 7th December 2007 until 15th January 2008." My other error, pointed out to me by a commentator on the article, was to suggest that the Virgin Mobile fixed wireless broadband offering was probably the cheapest on the market because for $60 per month you got 4Gbytes of data plus unlimited local and national PSTN calls. If that seemed too good to be true, it was. Virgin Mobile have quietly upped the price of this service, launched in July, to $70, and introduced a 2Gbyte offer for $60 instead.{moscomment}
