Page 2 of 2 Norway based Trolltech creates application development platforms for desktop and mobile device innovation. It claims that its software "increases the appeal of our customers' desktop applications and devices while reducing their risks and software development costs," and that its software is "the foundation for thousands of leading products worldwide, many from Global 2000 companies.." LiMo executive director, Morgan Gillis, said: "[Trolltech] have a very impressive track record in delivering complete device software solutions and their active participation in LiMo Foundation will lower the cost and time to market for device manufacturers using the LiMo platform." Azingo, formerly Celunite, will supply its software phone emulator, testing and bug tracking tools and software management tools. It claims that these will improve LiMo members' ability to eliminate redundant and unnecessary development while reducing fragmentation in the Linux mobile handset market. "LiMo selected Azingo because its technology is ideally suited to managing, integrating and testing an advanced mobile phone platform comprised of software contributed from a global ecosystem of mobile phone manufacturers and the open source community," said Gillis. "All future contributors to LiMo's mobile phone platform will use our common integration environment powered by Azingo's technology." LiMo says that its CIE will be implemented in 2008 and will be used by LiMo's platform integration team and by each member's engineering team to integrate and validate future software releases, maximising collaboration, eliminating redundant integration efforts and shortening platform release schedules.
