In a global multi-million dollar deal, spanning 140 countries, Indian outsourcer Satyam has won an order to implement an Oracle ERP system for the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Satyam will spearhead an operational overhaul for WHO to implement its critical Global Management System (GSM).

WHO has embarked on a program to substantially improve its operational efficiency in the following areas:

- the effectiveness and outcomes of the programs and projects that it implements;
- the interaction with the external donor community and with other agencies; and
- the integration of the operations of the country offices, regional offices and headquarters.

Satyam has been chosen to implement a global roll-out, of an Oracle-based ERP system that includes full functionality and end-to-end processes, throughout WHO, including its regional offices and in over 140 country offices.
