Business advisory and accounting firm, RSM Bird Cameron, claims it will take just 12 months recover an investment in IBM Lotus QuickPlace to establish a nationwide, mobile, paperless office. The solution has been deployed across Australia and will be used by 700 staff through deployment on existing IBM infrastructure.

The firm had a range of different filing arrangements for clients, and a combination of Lotus Notes applications, other file servers and hard copy made integration and access of important documentation a time intensive activity. The new system has been deployed to remove the need for duplication of client files in multiple locations.

Perth-based IBM solutions provider Resource Systems developed and implemented a solution based on IBM Lotus QuickPlace that allows information to be accessed at a single location via the internet from a mobile computer or phone such as the Blackberry devices already in use.

Clients saw an immediate improvement in the quality and business value of our documentation. We are able to improve delivery times and now have more transparent and collaborative customer relationships,Ӕ said John Heggie, executive director at RSM Bird Cameron.
