D-Link has announced its entry into the increasingly crowded WiFi/GSM handset market with a line of products due to go on sale in early 2007 under the  name 'V-Click'.

They will be triband (900/1800/1900MHz) GSM handsets with 802.11 Wi-Fi (2.4GHz) access. They come with the Opera Mobile  browser for logging into Wi-Fi hot spots, web surfing and email functionality and a five centimetre (176x220 pixels) bright colour screen.

Talk time is claimed to be up to five hours GSM and two hours in WiFi mode. Recommended resale price will be $US600.{moscomment}
