Ordinarily we would dismiss this report as just mere speculation from another blogger. However, some months we did postulate that Apple buying Parallels would make perfect sense. The fact of the matter is, according to a number of watchers of the small startup software company, Parallels has been making some phenomenal improvements to software - for instance allowing Windows applications to sit directly on the Mac OS X desktop - yet it continues to sell for just US$79. This has lead some people to speculate that Apple has already bought Parallels. If so, why not announce it? Perhaps it's just another rumour that Apple fans are trying to wish into existence. Has anyone ever considered the fact that Apple probably has the largest ready made research focus group in the world in the form of its fan base? They leave the company in no doubt as to what they want. All Apple has to do is figure out a way to give it to them. With Parallels, that should be easy. The iPhone is a harder ask. {moscomment}
