Finally this highly acclaimed PS2 action adventure comes to PAL territories.  With Okami, it is not all about the graphics, but it is a great deal about the art.

Let’s get the obvious out of the way early. Okami is an excellent action adventure. There are a number of elements that elevate Okami out of the well populated pack of PS2 action/adventures.

First the story, developer Clover Studio has managed to infuse a culture laden story of mythical good versus evil.  The tale is developed with small infusions of tradition and humour sprinkled with just a little cheesiness.

Players control the titular Okami (as the reinstated sun god Amaterasu) the white wolf, with initial simple powers to romp around the landscape, breaking scattered vessels looking for coins and other goodies, this simple control system is the weakest part of the game until…

Amaterasu gains the ability to wield the celestial brush.  This game-play element gives the player access to alter the game world with a quick stroke of a calligraphy brush.  The player will be required to restore game elements, slash opponents, destroy cursed environments and more.
