Not satisfied with dominating PC sales charts around the world, Electronic Arts today announced MySims for the Nintendo Wii and DS hand held.

Designed especially for the Wii control systems MySims will bring Simeons up against Mii’s by allowing players to come up with a wide variety of toy-like Sims to their god-like whim.

Then it is off to town, well a rundown town ready for reshaping by the players Sim.  As the game unfolds Sims will meet Non Playing Characters such as Mayor Rosalyn P Marshall and the lazy Bellhop Buddy.

Sims will be given tasks within the game whilst retaining their own freedom design a MySims landscape to their own desires.

“We want MySims to provide a creative play experience like never before on a video game system,” said Executive Producer Tim LeTourneau. “By giving players the tools to create literally any kind of world they want in MySims, we’re reinforcing the idea that the players create the magic. Will the town support a plethora of spooky, mysterious townsfolk – or buzz with the laughter and smiles of fun-loving Sims? It’s your call! In MySims, what players make… makes all the difference!”

According to EA there will be plenty of objects to unlock along the way.  From new clothing, hairstyles and accessories.  Players will also be able to develop the town using a system of building blocks.

MySims is slated for a Southern Hemisphere Spring 2007 release.{moscomment}
